How to hang up stuff on your brick walls using drill core bit

core bit drill on walls
We all love to design our house specially the new renovated walls. You already purchased stuff from your favorite furniture store and see those lovely paintings or picture frames that you want to see them hanging on your new brick walls. Now, you may be wondering how to put them on the brick walls? Here’s my simple guide in how to place them perfectly.

(Materials you may need: Drill or Drilling machines, Masonry core bit and 1½-inch masonry core bit)

  • 1 – Insert or place the masonry core bit into your drilling machines. Please see the products manufacturer’s instruction to know which size of drill bit to use for your screws (core bits). I recommends using a 1 ½ inch masonry screws.

  • 2 – Directly drill a ¼ to ½ inch (deeper than the screw itself) hole on the brick. Avoid drilling on mortar.(Please see How to drill granite concretes)

  • 3 – After step 2, replace your drill bit with your masonry screws. Set the setting of your drilling machine into a reverse mode and insert the screw into the pilot hole in your wall bricks. Leave enough of the screw showing to hold your item (picture frames or painting to be displayed).
